how wonderful to hear that these issues can be discussed in high schools, isn`t this proof that israel is progresive? why should children suffer in schools, or hide, or struggle with feelings that are condemned by the ignorance of some of the posters here. it seems so clear that homophobes have no compassion for anyone, least of all their children.
as a teacher myself, i am not out in the classroom in general, but if i notice a student struggling with their identity and sexuality i will try to help. this article sets out all the facts, and also why we need teachers like nurit and harlap to help children suffering under the cold and cruel ignorance of homophobes. |
