Barak Ravid, Haaretz Correspondent, Haaretz Service and News Agencies: U.S. ambassador apologizes for remarks on convicted spy Pollard
Talkback
Title:Response to #3 and #7
Name:Samy
City: Los AngelesState: CA
#3: Jones said the truth. Spies are usually executed, so Pollard has been spared. He betrayed his home country and proved that some American Jews are more loyal to Israel than to the United States (maybe like you Philly Jew!)

Now how does that make him an anti-Semite? How did you come up with that tired and cliche label?

#7: He spied for a friend?
What twisted logic is this. Does that make spying for an ally okay?

FYI, the documents Pollard turned over to Israel were given to Russia in return for allowing Russian Jews to emigrate to Israel. That is a known fact.

Israel only cares about its survival regardless of the consequences to friend and foe alike. It`s a simple fact. Pollard should rot in jail until he dies and the United States has indeed shown mercy by not executing him. Jones must not have apologized... what he said is TRUE!
