If physically handicapped people find it hard to go "to the supermarket, the movies and to a restaurant" in mostly Jewish population areas, then imagine the difficulties faced by Arab handicapped people who live in villages that are bypassed by the public transportation system!
These Arab handicapped individuals don`t enjoy the benefit of more simple things such as sidewalks, paved streets, street lighting, traffic lights, etc.
They don`t have nearby medical clinics or physiotherapy centers. They don`t have access to equipment that`s especially designed for the handicap - computers, reading books, etc.
A handicapped jewish person, who surely needs all the support and access that he deserves, is in a much much better situation than his fellow Arab handicapped person. |
