| There is such a thing as blocking computer access to certain undesirable sites,no need to ban the computer. As for children reading undesirable sites,you can get programs that will block sites, chat rooms that you don`t want your kids to have access to. The internet is one of the greatest learning tools we have today,my kids use it for research and homework assignments, only how do I know this 1) my kids have their doors open when they are on their computers and I walk in and check from time to time to see what they are doing,2) I told them about the dangers of Chatt rooms,3) sometimes you must trust your children to follow your family values. The Ultra orthodox want to ban all their followers from using the computers which is silly as an adult can decide what is appropriate to look at, he/she doesnot need anyone else telling them. |
