An interesting read is Wilfred Thesinger`s book "A Life of My Choice" in which he describes his travels in Tibesti, Chad in the 1930s when he was serving in the colonial service in Darfur. He meets a beduoin in a remote village in Tibesti who asks him "why are the British talking about giving away the land of the Palestinians, and doing these horrible things to them in their homeland?"
If there was a regime in a remote part of the South Pacific that was treating Jews the way that zionism treats Palestinians, then "israelis" would hate that regime, even if they had no territorial disputes. Egypt is like another other country. You can`t hide behind silly excuses. I`m not even an Arab, but I hate zionism because of the way it treats non-Jews. I want to see a better world, and I know the world wouldbe better off without these types of bigotries. |
