Nothing will stop Iran from going nuclear. They have pretty much mastered the technology while the US is distracted in a war that Israel and its cronies pushed us into. If faced with technical glitches, the iranians can count on sympathetic Pakistani brothers for help.
Attacking Iran now will cause them to withdraw from NPT. They can now produce and assemble 164 centrifuges per week (~9000/yr). They can hide them at different sites (3000/site) and produce HEU for 5-6 bombs per year. Without inspections, it is hard to discover all such sites. The US and West better focus on dialogue and impleneting effective monitoring of Iran`s nuclear sites. Israel should rely on their nuclear deterrent, but should also stop occupying and humiliatiin the Palestinians to reduce hatred and anomisity for generations to come. Start serious negotiations with the Arabs based on the Saudi plan. They days of bullying others are pretty much over!!!! |
