This is the same hubris that has gotten the US into the quicksand of Iraq and Vietnam, got Hitler defeated at Stalingrad and so on throughout history. Iran fought Iraq to a standstill even though Iraq had the might of the US military behind it, including prohibited weapons Iraq got from the US. As a result of that war, Iraq has built up its own weapons industry and sells many of its product on the open market. There are many reliable sources that disagree with your view of Iran military capability, among them, the US CIA. Iran will NOT be a pushover and will have a very deadly response to any attack. US generals have already expressed deep reservations about any attack on Iran. you might want to wonder why they don`t share your rosy viewpoint. |
