The one standing still will always lose to the one who is moving.
An airport is nearly impossible to secure. All you can do is to make sure that you are prepared to deal with it when things DO happen: prevent more damage. Try to avoid hostage situations; organize emergency medical care; lock the area down completely.
The chance of intercepting serious professional terrorists before they commit an attack (ie, before they blow their cover) is minimal. Better focus on handling situations appropriately when they *do* occur. Have quick response teams ready and have well-trained security people around all of whom follow the same protocols in all circumstances, even when operating independently. |
