I don`t know Scott by what interpretation you call yourself Sephardic. Are you a full-blooded Spanish Jew of European descent i.e.: Greek, Bulgarian, Serbian, Bosnian Jew? Or may be you are Dutch Sephardic? Any one of the above would put you in the same cathegory with Ashkenazim, namely European. Pure Sephardim should not be confused with Mizrahim, North African or Middle Eastern. Jews of European descent are the true Jews. Our whiteness does not stem from biological mingling with our host nations. This has recently been scientificly proven by DNA testing. Do some internet research under the name Ashkenazi Dna. We are the descendents of Jews who lived in Eretz Yisroel at the time of the destruction of the Second Temple. Ashkenazic Jews are a nation, a race, an ethnicity in its fullest sense. Without Ashkenazim the State of Israel would not exist.
It is the Mizrahim who are not Jews in an ethnic sense. They are Arabs of the Jewish religion. Just like a Black African (to be continued) |
