Once again, the colonial Zionist mindset accuses the Palestinians for the ethnic cleansing that was committed against them. This time they did so by accusing Palestinians of rejectionism for rejecting the compromise; UNGA res. 181 partitioning Palestine. Before talking about these issues, let`s take a look at 181. It gave 55% of historic Palestine to 34% of the population. The areas earmarked for a "Jewish State" had almost 40% Palestinian and only 60% Jewish. Most of the lands there were owned by Palestinians.
There is no doubt that when a colonial settler movement is given the opportunity to "legalize" its presence in the colonies they would stick to it. It becomes their source of legitmacy. But when the rightful owners are presented with such an unjust and distorted plan, there is no doubt that such a plan will be rejected. |
