It is interesting to note the official stance of the Israeli government regarding judaism and the way that judaism is practised or not practised by a big part of its population. Being really hard on conversions and some other issues, while on the other hand the every day life reality of the non orthodox jews in Israel: going to the shopping malls on shabbat, going abroad on Kippour and hatred to everything that is somehow related to something religious.
I think Religion and State should really be separated. It will be good for the state and for the people. |
