this kind of "confinement" is nuts. The fact is that if Vanunu wanted to, he could have pasted the "secrets" claimed to be still in his head all over the internet as soon as it became clear that after 18 years of incarceration, freedom in his case meant that his prison cell was being exchanged for something only a little larger.
The fact that he has not done so thus far seems to indicate one of two things: he doesn`t intend to, or he has no secrets. Whichever it is, he`s done his time, hasn`t he? Either jail him or let him go. Does anyone really think he can`t e-mail or text whoever he chooses about whatever he chooses? |
