| You can`t compare the Soviet Union and Israel. You just can`t. That`s misleading. The SU occupied numerious independent states and treated minorities with iron-touch. There was no state of Palestinia that Israel occupied. Israelis bought land and the Arabs tried to later take it from them. As a result they lost more land and no one returns land that has been occupied in wars. Not even Russia. At least it didn`t do that to Karjala which they occupied from us. Think about the war in Chechnya, so no, Russia has not let go . There is an argument betveen Estonia and Russia about a SU statue in Estonia. Russia is interfering to Estonia`s internal issues. Russia will never let go. Arabs could have taken the refugees from the geological area of Palestinia but they didn`t. They have created their own problem. If Finlnd would have acted the same way as Arabs we wouldn`t have the harmony we have today. |
