| "Israel has never threatened any other state of annihilation,as Iran has done." How many times have we discussed this, Hastaroth? Iran has only talked of the removal of the Zionist regime, giving as a direct parallel the removal of the Soviet regime. The latter was accomplished, as far as I can remember, without World War III breaking out. The probability that Iran would launch a nuclear attack on Israel, which is capable of responding with an attack that would destroy 4000 years of Iranian civilisation and 50 million people, is precisely NIL. Israel simply isn`t worth it to the Iranians. Nuclear deterrence works. Iran wants a bomb to neutralise Israel`s only strategic advantage in the Middle East. All this alarmist talk by Israel is aimed at persuading America to take action on its behalf, without it costing Israel a single shekel or risking a single IAF life. It won`t happen. |
