Between your elegantly carved lines lies an invitation to the Jews of the world to share your experience. To be envious no more of those who have returned to their promised land. For Jewish blood to once more join the ground it eternally worshiped.
Your invitation, however, falls short of the Palestinians who also need to return. Palestinians who once farmed their lands and slept in their homes not thousands of years ago, but merely 50 odd years ago. Do you extend your hand to those outcasts as well. Do you wish their return as much as you wish that of Jews.
Would a day ever come when Israel will welcome as many Palestinians in their Diaspora as it does Jews in their own Diaspora?! |
