(cont..) As one who consider myself an observant Sefardi, I do not care about Rabbi Eliahyu who is not my Rabbi of choice.
Nevertheless, the reformed synagogue`s problem of abject failure at making inroads in Israel is not rabbi Eliahu or any other Sefardi rabbi.
Their natural pool of followers to draw from is Ashkenazi.
It seems however that they chose to be Cry Babies in a cheap attempt to "demonstrate" to their North American brethern how they are being pursued in Israel by "backward Sefardi Ayatulla`s".
If they chose to respond to Rabbi Eliahu`s remark with a lawsuit and to ignore the Ashkenazi establishment`s often more serious assaults on their operation, in that, I do not wish them success.
Besides I never found their achievements too impressive.
