Hi Ben from a big-time Dylan fan up in the Yukon! I loved your piece on Dylan. I just picked up a few old Dylan tapes on E=bay the other day. Wow! One was his 1973 release called simply Dylan. Anyway all of the songs with the exception of "Sarah Jane" is either traditional or was written by another writer. Songs include Mr Bojangles by John Lee Hooker and Little Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell. I also heared that it was the only almum Bob regretted recording. But I also heard Bob say that about his first album. As far as the Dylan (1973) album goes, I like it, especially Spannish is the Loving Tongue and Lilly of the West. The vocal sounds very "undylanesque". Not that I don`t like Dylanesque, but they are realy show his diversity of vocal for lack of a better term. Anyway loved your piece on Dylan again. Keep it up.
