| With the possible exception of the 1956 War which I would argue was initiated by France and Britain with Israel as a proxy, Israel has not initated wars. 1967. Israel attacks after being surrounded and threatened with anhilation. 1973. Egypt and Syria attack, though Israel knew in advance. 1982. Response to constant shelling from South Lebanon to Northern Israel. 2006. Stupid response to the kidnapping. The other guys in each case shot first. Shmuel |
