| If Israel doesn`t promptly take the wife of Puriya Hajaram under its protection and let her in, then frankly it is betraying the principles of compassion and human dignity enshrined by the Hebrew prophets. It will then demonstrate to the world that it practices naked religious discrimination and is unfit to belong to the community of progressive democracies. It seems that such injustices will only be avoided when Israel is constituted as a state that is truly representative of all its inhabitants, without favour. |
