| That`s why I think sanctions would only hurt the people, not the government. It only strengthens the regime and weakens the reform movements. We need to do what we did with communist USSR. Support the people and give them what they need to rid themselves of the mullahs. Lastly, I`d like to remind you of the many times the Persians came to the rescue of your people. Instead of looking at the last 30 years, look at our historic friendship of the last 3000 years. |
