The west needs to build a counter force within Iran against the mullahs and Iranians have to decide (to use an Alfred E Neumann question)whether they are with the Mullahs or with the West.
I have heard so many times they are not with the Mullahs,they think the Mullahs are a joke blah blah and blah but they have to decide who they are with. Many Iranians say `we are like Europeans` and `we are like westerners` and `we are Persian,not arab` but they are passive against their own leaders that they claim they despise.
America has to develop a counter force to the regime WITHIN Iran and the people have to decide what they want.
Here they have sanctions brewing which will conveniently turn them away from the West and any stronger measures by America the same.
We have to know finally what the Iranian people truly want. |
