| Israel didn`t get up one morning and decide to go to war - it was forced to - in 1948, 1967 and 1973. The fact that it won those wars and gained land as a result is a fact of life. The fact that after 1967 Israel offered all the lands back for true accpetance and peace is well recorded in history, as is the immediate rejectionist response of the Arab League in Khartoum. ANd by the way, the transition and the sharing of power in South Africa was instigated by young Afrikaner intellectuals, the children of the fathers of apartheid, who realized thatit was not right. Luckily SA`s Mandela was the right person at the right time to help make this transition relatively peaceful. |
