By As'ad Ghanem : The Arabs are part of the society, too
Talkback
Title:Then can Jews be part of Palestine?
Name:Margie in Tel Aviv
City: State:
The Arabs in Israel are given all the rights and privileges of being citizens, and that`s only just and correct, because they are citizens of our state. However when it comes to discussing the inclusion of Jewish cities like Ariel in the Palestinian territories then there is suddenly a different look on the face, a different reaction, a different rulebook. Suddenly when I say this I`m no longer fair-minded. Suddenly I`m `right-wing`. Why is this? Is there a different world in which it`s not racist to have a Judenrein country? Why is it honourable and somehow okay not to want Jews when not wanting Arabs in your country is frankly and disgustingly racist?
