Israel is a nation-state, not unlike Norway, Greece, Portugal or Thailand or Denmark. As the nation-state of the Jewish people, it also has minorities residing in it as citizens, again, not unlike other nation-states. Yet, both the Muslim religious and political leadership of the Arabs in Israel simply refuse to accept this reality, and through elevant legalistic ways attempt to undermine this reality.
One need to be stupid or blind not to see this reality, and Benvenisti is not a stupid man. |
