| Let`s not kid ourselves. Tel Aviv can be hit from the Hezballah positions in the north or the Hamas positions in the south. The "here and no further line" has to start at the northern border and end in Eilat. I fail to see why the stock exchange is out of bounds while the homes of thousands of people on the periphery for whom there is no evacuation program are within tolerable limits. If the government owes its citizens anything, it is not an evacuation program that will merely prove ineffective in the reality of today`s weapons. The government owes its citizens the knowledge that it has done everything possible to avoid that war and prevent those rockets from being fired in the first place. That task, for this present government seems to be something that is, pardon the expression: out of range. |
