Reuters misrepresents again.As an old Churchill admirer I anxiously sought the said article and read it carefully : :
The article, written in 1937, well before Nazism revealed its bestial fangs on November,08, 1938 ("Kristalnacht"),does definitely not fit its title. While positive in his description of Jewish characteristics, some of Churchill`s lines mere normal criticism, true in my Jewish opinion, far from arising the loathing that, for instance, other people`s drunkardness, arises.
Moreover, sensitive to time and environment, Churchill denied, in 1939, to publish the article due to the newly emerged circumstances.
This is not obvious in Reuter`s policy. |
