| Olmert and his sniveling weakness disgusts me. The fact that Israel didn`t throw him out right after the waste of Jewish lives in Lebanon makes me think they are complacent with weak leadership. I acknowledge I don`t live in Israel and can?t be a part of the decision making process. But if Israelis can`t see how leadership like Olmert`s has both weakened them and made their future less secure as a direct consequence of insanely poor leadership, what can I do? This is Israel`s choice. As an American Jew I reject any obligation to support sheer stupidity and a culture of arrogance and contempt for Judaism that poisons my decades long attachment to Zionism. Israel needs massive reform, that Israelis are incomprehensibly oblivious to how off track their society has become is ultimately their problem. |
