US Jews can actually make a difference in Darfur, where what is needed is more international attention and aid. Iran is beyond anyone`s control and has the full attention of the great powers and the Security Council, although they may be powerless here.
As for Darfur being used to detract attention from the Palestinians- first the situation is not even close to comparable. More people have been killed in a few years in Darfur than in the entire Arab-Israeli conflict, and certainly more innocent civilians. Second, nothing will detract attention from Israel-Palestine because the world is obsessed with the "holy land", the Jews, and the conflict. |
