"US Jewish concern with Darfur has less to do with moral concern and more to do with taking attention away from the violations of Israel in Palestine,of saying to the world community..."
Ah, nothing matches the bitterness of the failed Christian convert to Judaism. They enter their exploration into Judaism with a whole bunch of Christian notions and then throw a fit because we Jews are not earthly representations of their Jesus and, unlike him, we refuse to be crucified. When attacked, we defend ourselves, and it is this fact of Jewish dignity that angers the closet antisemite/would-be convert the most.
The flipside for a Jew-hater like "Yaakov" is that if American Jews did not protest against the Darfur genocide, he would be the first to condemn us for Jewish "tribalism" and apathy for non-Jews. Yes, "Yaakov," whatever you can do to condemn the Jews in your post-conversion bitterness. |
