1. Netanyahu is a gasbag. As pointed out his logic is also flawed. Admitting that the Israelis are in the same positions as the Jews of Europe from 1933-44 admits that zionism has done nothing but created a big ghetto where the existence of the Jewish People is more precatrious than it was in Europe. Something no zionist would admit.
2.Israel is a nuclear power and that fact serves as a deterrant to Iran, which does not yet have nuclear weapons.
3.Negotiations with Iran over this issue have not been exhausted and the UN and EU is dedicated to staying on that path rather than one of military threat.
4. US Jewish concern with Darfur has less to do with moral concern and more to do with taking attention away from the violations of Israel in Palestine,of saying to the world community: "you see what these Muslims are doing to each other and no one cares." Darfur is a burning issue in need of a solution. It should not be neglected, but not used as a tool to distract. |
