As an American Jew who spent a year at college in Jerusalem I know that the words "Humanist" & "Progressive" are my co-religionists code words for Moral Cowardice.I could care less about Darfur,let the EU handle it(note that they`re not).What I do know is that we are once again caught up in the sweep of history,the cycles that for 2,000 years have echoed with the words "Let`s Kill the Jews!"
I can never forget that I am a member of the worlds smallest & unacknowledged minorities, because the world will never let me forget that I`m a Hebrew for a moment.
As an American Jew I try never to council my brethren in Israel on political matters but I do know that the Kapo Olmert needs to be thrown in prison or failing that at least replaced by someone with a clear vision of the gathering threat & the testicular fortitude to pre-empt it.I fear that much like my fellow Americans the Israelis seem to be more interested in their off-shore bank accounts & have lost the will for the impending battle |
