The Korbun Pesach is unique among the sacrifices in that it can be eaten in impurity.

If more than half of the people (disputes as to whether that is half of all Jews / Kohanim or even perhaps half of one tribe) are impure due to death impurity, the sacrifice is both offered and eaten in impurity.

There are other issues such as where to throw the blood, is the alter required or is it adequate to throw it at the location of the alter.

And, yes, if G-d requests it of us, we should do it even if we, in our great understanding of the universe, think it wrong or silly.
