Obviously Robin is not a teacher. She doesn`t know about the evenings and weekends spent grading papers, planning lessons and attending meetings. Nor does she know about the compulsory in-service training courses taken after school hours, on holidays and in the summer nor the abuse many teachers experience from the pupils. She doesn`t know either how it feels when a struggling pupil succeeds because of your efforts after school.
I loved teaching in Israel despite the poor salary and no hope of advancement- I`d do it again in a minute if I could!
