to #3 I would be happy to put in the hours of prep at school if the school were equipped with the equipment we were promised by the previous Minsiter ie a computer terminal and printer for each teacher with free internet access, a CD player, a TV etc etc. I spend hours at home downloading /designing worksheets, writing tests, marking .I can`t do those things at school as there is no place for all the staff to sit, no quiet corners with coffee, food etc. At the moment we get a 5 min break between classes during which we have to decide whether to talk to a colleague about a problem, talk to a student ,grab a cup of coffee or dash to the toilet. You tell me when/where we are supposed to do prep in such crowded conditions.... You obviously have never been anywhere near a teacher`s staff room in your life |
