Education is essential for the ongoing success of society. This is true in financial, social and moral terms, and a government that does not recognise this does not appreciate the long-term development of society. People need to learn how to think for themselves - there is nothing more Jewish than that.
This being said - it is also true for the Arab sector, who need democratic education in order to stem tendencies that partly come from feeling `left out`. They too need education to aid them to build their lives in dignity. |
