The educational system here reflects that fact that the teacher`s salery is JOKE.
Our children are not receiving the quality of education they deserve either, many of the teachersin the elementary schools are not even familiar with the subjects they teach( to give an example, one question on my daughter`s 6th grade science test was" Why is there rubber on the Handle of a screw driver? The correct answer is so that it doesn`t conduct electricity,but the science teacher said"wrong, it is so that the screw driver doesn`t get hot", so with teachers not familiar with their subects that they teach(nor able to open a book for the answers) is it any wonder why are schools churn out students that fail later on?
If we raise saleries higher perhaps we can attract people to enter teaching who are qualified to teach the subjects they are hired to teach! Of course we must also stop promoting students not capable of working at grade level too! |
