| Not a word about one of the big players in the conflict: Iran. Is Haniyeh another or new leader of the PA when financed by Saudia as he was when financed from Tehran? It is not at all clear at the moment what the role of the Holocaust denier Abbas will be in the future. Saudi Arabia seems to favour Haniyeh and Dahlan and Abbas seems to get weaker. What will Abbas be able to deliver? It is premature at the moment to make predictions because we have no clear picture. What is clear however, is that the Palestinian problem is not the most urgent one that Israel has to solve. The Palestinians were never in a hurry to create their own state. Before the threat posed by medieval nuclear mullahs in Tehran will not be over, no solution with the Palestinians seems possible. To look for a final solution now is like building a big tower without basements. |
