There is no law against intermarriage in Israel.

In the Jewish population genetic related disablities would be on par with any western country. Jewish population are made up of people from over 100 countries so there is a large gene pool. On the other hand Israeli Arabs who tend to marry within families, (cousins) have a high rate of genetic disablities.
This is slowly changing as Arab communities are being educated and advised against close family marriage.
