I think it`s rich that people who have fabricated history and distorted religion should have the audacity to lecture others about truth and honesty. After all, the Jews have used forgery, lies, intimidation and propoganda to claim Palestine as their land so its not surprising that they now accuse Muslims of lying about the Al Aqsa Mosque. There was certainly no temple when Caliph Omar I extended the Islamic rule to Al Quds (Jerusalem) in 636. When he visited the site, it was a rubbish dump and he proceeded to clean it up and order a mosque to be built on the site hence the name Mosque of Omar. There were few Jews living in Jerusalem at the time and the patriarch of Jerusalem had insisted that they should leave the city as part of the terms of surrendering the city to the Muslims. Throughout the period from 636 to 1918, there was no reference to a temple in any historical document and it was only in the 1920`s during the British mandate in Palestine that the Jews started claiming access
