| It all depends what you mean by faith. A personal trust and even confidence (ee-mun) in one`s relationship with God and the Divine Covenant with Humanity and Israel, or a specific dogma that one must believe in to be saved. Both of these are "faith-based," but imagine what happens when a government is based on a specific creed in a religiously diverse world. There is nothing wrong with faith based governments of the first kind ie when the leaders are men and women of that kind of faith which yields confidence and hope and also the wisdom to attain commendable goals. |
