But anti-Semitism in Europe in general and in France in particular is very much part of reality, fed by some of the most prestiges press in that of Europe, e.g. Guardian, Independent, le Monde. Sure, no news organization calls for the attacks of Jews, but when anti-Semitism is now ephemistically called anti-Zionism, and being critical of the Jewish state of Israel, its very existence at times, is a substitute for being critical of Jews, the message that is gradually sipping into people`s minds is anti-Jewish - the demonizing and eventually physically attacking and killing of the Jew. The solution of course is aliya to Israel. Ilan Halimi, unfortunately, is doing so only after his death. |
