Title:ISLAM`S THIRD HOLIEST SITE A MYTH: HISTORICAL TRUTHS.
Name:Zuriel
City: State: ISRAEL
The Koran never mentions Jerusalem. Not once. While Mecca & Medina are mentioned hundreds of times. With good reason,no historical evidence exists that Mohammed ever even visited Jerusalem. So how did it become the 3rd holiest site of Islam? Muslims today cite a vague passage of the Koran, the 7th Sura, entitled "The Night Journey." It relates that in a dream or vision Mohammed was carried by night "from the sacred temple to the temple that is most remote, whose precinct we have blessed, that we might show him our signs." In the 7th centry Muslims identified this as Mecca & Jerusalem. That`s as close as Islam`s connection with Jerusalem gets-myth,fantasy,wishful thinking.Meanwhile Jews can trace their roots in Jerusalem all the way back to the days of Abraham. If a Muslim prove otherwise in the Koran,be my guest.Jeruslaem is never mentioned once in the Holy Koran.
