I agree with You. Mostly the criticism has a little to do with antisemitism. I just returnes from South-Africa,where I met the turists from all over the world. When I told that I am from Israel-I was attacked.They blamed Israel for collective punishments of totally innocent people - using of the hammer when a stick had been enough, in Lebanon and in Gaza. Also,how the teenagers were killed without any kind of examinations,if they were suspected to be the threat ( "the deathpenalty" without proved quilty.)Nobody mentioned at once " a jew" -they always spoke of israelis ...and at the same time of Mr.Bush as a responsable- so nothing to do with the semitism.
Nobody accepted the terrorists attacks. Nobody
denied the the right to defend ourselves. But the most of them could not understand the overwhelming military actions and the killing of hundreds of civilians.The sympathy seems to be on the side of the weaker ones-like Carter does. |
