| I think there is a very clear distinction between anti-semitism and having a critical view of Israel?s policies. Saying that the Independent and BBC are overtly anti-semitic is an exaggeration. I believe that it is British nature to support the underdog and in this case, it is the Palestinians. After all, Israel has everything and the Palestinians have nothing. Remember, if you live in Israel, the press and TV stations will be biased towards Israel?s policies. There will always be anti-semitic behaviour, but there will also be racist actions towards other minorities too. As a Jew, I am proud to be part of Britain. It is generally a tolerant and open minded place to live in. My family were accepted and integrated well over 100 years ago and I have never received any racist actions towards me. Maybe Israel needs to look at England for ideas about tolerance and acceptance... |
