| In the end it matters not at all whether israel had a choice or not in the latest drubbing of Hasrallah in southern Lebanon. Without exception, serious arab analysts, as one, agree that HA did not count on being so weakened by an unrelenting israeli response, despite israel`s high casualty numbers. Hasrallah will think twice before again provoking the IDF and so, by this token, israel`s success was real. For their part, HA have shown their hand and modus operandi to the israelis as bunker after bunker is discovered and destroyed; bunkers built with the full knowledge and sight of "neutral" observers. And that can only mean bad news for south lebanon and their radical islamic masters. After almost 2 decades of holding the world to ransom, the worm is turning. The world is fed up with radical, violent, destabilising islam. It can never be a force for progress. And no-one wants to go backwards. |
