| First of all, don`t let`s bluff ourselves. The choice of president has become a political matter. The shameful Katsav got there as a Likudnik, a darling of the central committee of the Likud. It was rigged. However, we do still have some prominent men and women of personal integrity, so that the presidency should not be sold to Peres apriori, like a sort of agenda. Even a presumably suitable candidate should not be pushed to the top of the list undemocratically. |
