| Presidential election will become acute within coming weeks / months. Manuevering for candidates votes already started in all its unsavoury aspects including thoughts of election law changes. This to satisfy personal/ party orders to secure specific personal interests. The ?expensive, luxurious? position of President of the State of Israel has / is being justified by having an unifying, above party politics, above other interest, honourable person as President. Differing from general ( parliament election) where the Israel?s citizen votes for a party and its choice of representatives, the president is chosen directly by Knesset members on a purely personal basis.- This special Knesset?s presidential vote was enacted to assure freedom of each Knesset voter, particularly to exclude any direct party political order. Ongoing legal undemocratic actions ??to further the electoral prospects of Vice Premier Shimon Peres?? the Prime Minister?s choice candidate, to ? .. deter MKs from breaking ranks with the coalition`s party candidate are despysable?? - So Peres? candidacy would mean , if and when the 84 years old man could/ would fulfill his complete term of office would be between 89 to 90 years old! - The other present contenders are approx 15 to 20 years younger. - A change of law really needed is beyond the necessary researches on the personal / legal and professional profeciency is in physical conditions to fulfill his appointment. Present filling in of Knesset Speakeress Dalia Itzik, as Acting President of the State has a every influencial, revolutionary effect of a woman as symbolic head of the Jewish, Democratic State of Israel! Her proper handling based upon her parliamentary experience is to be expected faultlessly. - She openly declared her unwillingness to become a candidate for the presidency, would mean her foregoing Speaker of the House position. Having been used already by Mrs. Dalia Itzik Presidency it should be beneficiary that her reign will be followed by another woman to promote show the equal lawful rights of women to men. - Such an act may have a qualitative direct influence on our neighboring States where women rights are still partially/ completely restricted. |
