"PM Olmert backs vice Premeier Perese for President " Ed. This is neither significant or surprisnig. Both Olmert and Peres are insignificant in the Jewish & Israeli history. And it is not so suprising that both are suffering from sliding fortunes in their political lives. All those who made Kadima are like their party made up a `monoument of curruption` in Israel politics; a short cut to naked power. The only thing that Peres will leave for posterity a great bundle of files testifing for a record of failures and unfinished talks. I can`t help to think that even his lonely star achievement in Checkoslovakia during the War of Independence resulted in the introduction of Soviet & East European arms to the Arab Middle East. In fact Abdual Nassar took over from where Shimon left.Bringing deadly Soviet Weapons to the area. Add the other Big Gan; Arafat and his band of criminals, brought to Israels doors.. That is how I read shame Shimon in my book. |
