Because of the Israeli government`s difficulty coping with the CONSTANT threat of Palestinian violence (which you rarely mention) the situation is problematic for Israelis as well as for Palestinians. Right? Why not tell people how much longer it takes Israelis to get from Ashkelon, or Beersheva, or Kiryat Malachi, to Jerusalem - through Latrun; than it would if they could go the shorter way, through Hebron? But they can`t. It`s too dangerous, right? Why so dangerous? Tell us how much time is wasted driving from Jerusalem to Zfat on Highways 6 or 90, which could be saved if it were possible to build a highway through Samaria - which it isn`t, because of the danger. What kind of articles would you write if Israel were run by HAMAS and honor killings occurred everywhere, women needed four witnesses to prove that rapes weren`t "adultery," converting from Islam to another religion was a capital offense, all synagogues were destroyed, and all non-"Ikhwan" Korans were confiscated? |
