The US is trying to find a face saving way out of Iraq in time for the Presidential elections. Condoleeza is trying to save American influence in the region after this pullout occurs.
UK troops are going to start withdrawing by May. This is the timeline that is becoming apparent. The US will not want to be seen to be abandoned militarily by the UK.
The troop surge is one last throw of the dice, if it doesn`t work in 60 days the Iraq project is going to be abandoned.
Whic is really bad news for Israel. A Shia empire from the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf, armed with weapons of mass destruction. If I was Israeli I would be dusting off that second passport. |
